Stayed at a hostel close to the train station. Basic room, but clean. Shower room had towels and hand wash. Discount card for the cafe next door was a bonus. Great location in the heart of the old city center. Friendly staff with good local knowledge.
Value for money and seamless Wi-Fi. Cons: Nothing I didn't like to be fair.

The location of the hostel was absolutely perfect for exploring the city on foot. I could easily walk to nearby cafes, restaurants, and pubs, as well as convenient stores. The room I stayed in was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and took their time showing me the facilities.
One evening, there was some noise outside my window, but it eventually quieted down for the night. However, they do provide free earplugs at the front desk for those who are light sleepers.

Great location between the train station and the old city. Easy check-in process and responsive staff.
The accommodation was overpriced for the facilities provided. The kitchen was small, windows were broken, and there were not enough toilets and bathrooms for the number of guests.

The room at Backpackers was clean and functional, and the staff made us feel welcome. We appreciated the convenient location near the railway station and the Royal Mile. Despite some minor inconveniences like steep stairs and a tight shower space, the lounge area and separate TV room provided a pleasant atmosphere. The comfortable mattresses and clean rooms made our stay enjoyable. One drawback was the noisy nights due to the central location, but overall, we had a great experience. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and good value for money.

The location is perfect, situated in the heart of town and near most attractions. The room I stayed in was spacious and had a comfortable double bed, as well as a large TV. The bathroom was conveniently located on the same floor as my room, and there was a bath with a shower over it on the next level. The staff at the front desk were friendly and provided excellent customer service. Additionally, the kitchen on my floor was well equipped for self-catering.
The walls in the separate building where my room was located were quite thin, which made it a bit noisy at peak nighttime hours.

The morning meal could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

The location of this hostel was amazing. It was right at the heart of the city, with all the major attractions within walking distance. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the front desk was always manned even during busy periods. the room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. the hostel also had a well-equipped kitchen, which was convenient for self-catering.
The lack of comfort in the room. the bed was quite uncomfortable, especially for taller individuals, and had to be placed on the floor to prevent it from breaking.
